Post Office Box is part publication, part collaborative art project.
It begins with you sending something to P.O. Box 363, Big Sur California 93920.
It’s easy, and there are two ways to participate:
Mail in your contribution, along with your name and address, and we’ll find a way to incorporate whatever you send in. You’ll receive one (1) complimentary copy of Post Office Box, Edition 1, when it's ready in late 2022 or early 2023.
Deadline to contribute: October 31, 2022. 🎃
If you'd merely like to receive, send $5 along with your name and address, and we’ll send you one (1) paid-for copy of Post Office Box, Edition 1, when it's ready in late 2022 or early 2023.
Deadline to subscribe: December 1, 2022.
What will the publication be? We don’t know, and can’t know, until we’ve received your contributions. That’s the collaborative art part of this project, and it’s fueled by the simple act of sending something through the mail, and then receiving something in the mail.
What you decide to submit is really up to you, we’re not providing much in the way of guidelines. Words and pictures of course, but part of what will make Post Office Box work is seeing what we receive. Poems, Polaroids, receipts, recipes, memoranda, memoir, fiction, faxes, odes, objects – we’ll find some way to include it in the first edition of Post Office Box.
In November 2022, we’ll gather up all the contributions we’ve been sent and work on turning them into a publication. As soon as it's ready (who can say when?), we’ll mail the first edition out to you (and everyone else who contributed or subscribed). We can do this, together.
